A small antique 10K gold relicario with gold chain from the Philippines. I saw this relicario pendant and was drawn to it because of the monstrance design. Normally, religious themed reliquaries suggest that they are much older than the floral designs.
We wanted to fix the monstrance but it was sealed in glass so it was best to leave it as is to avoid damaging it. Also, the bottom part of the relicario has a split opening (as seen in the photo), soldering it would have prevented the glass from fitting in. Both are hardly noticeable when worn but price has been adjusted to reflected it. A bale big enough to fit most chains was added along with a newer 10K gold chain at 18 inches in length. It’s been professionally cleaned.
