A small antique 10K rose gold or “sinubong” relicario with tube beads necklace from the Philippines. I acquired the tube beads and reliquary separately The 10K rose gold tubes are interspersed with new black tourmaline beads and new 10K gold lock. There are some signs of wear on the glass and a small crack at the back. Had it checked and it doesn’t compromise the durability of the glass. But price has been adjusted to reflect this. It is not noticeable when worn.
It’s been professionally cleaned, strung in silk thread with french wires to give it a more polished look. The use of rose gold or “sinubong” was believed to ward off bad elements and was very popular in old Filipino jewelry. Copper was mixed with gold to give it a pinkish hue.
