An antique silver front and 8K gold back lansadera ring from the Philippines. It has 16 pieces clear topaz and 2 synthetic stones that were most likely replacements (see photo). Lansadera is taken from the Spanish word “lanzadera” which means shuttle, a boat-shaped piece of wood used as a device in the loom. This was popular during the Victorian era. In other countries, they are also called “navette” rings which means “little ship” due to its shape.

There are minor signs of wear but mostly on the ring shank so hardly noticeable. It’s been professionally cleaned still in good antique condition.
