A stunning antique 12K gold lansadera ring studded with diamonds from the Philippines. There are a total of 23 old included diamonds in varying shades of white, yellow and gray. A big 0.40ct European cut diamond sits on the center of the ring.
“Lanzadera” is a Spanish word for shuttle, a boat-shaped piece of wood used as a device in the loom. The Philippines was a colony of Spain for 333 years, hence the design influence. Other countries refer to this design as navette which means “little ship”.
The ring shank appears to be a replacement. It’s been professionally cleaned and in good antique condition.
