A set of vintage 14K gold earrings and ring set from the Philippines. It has 3 pieces marquise cut diamonds and are surrounded by small brilliant cut diamonds. There are some inclusions but very sparkly. It’s been gently cleaned and in good vintage condition.

Did you know that the marquise cut goes back to the 18th century when King Louis XV of France commissioned a jeweler to design a cut shape that resembled the lips of his mistress, Jean Antoinette Poisson, the Marchioness Madame de Pompadour?
